EacoChem and anodized aluminum restoration project

May 19th, 2009

Here are some pics of a current anodized aluminum restoration project that we are doing here in Southern California.
This framing does appear to have some kind of clearcoat or lacquer finish that needs stripping before it can be restored via safe restore and sealed with ART.

Heavy build-up of hard-water around this frame. This area got the worst of it…

Photobucket

Another pic of the frame with what looks like the lacquer peeling up after the hard-water was removed from the glass with safe restore.

Photobucket

This part of the frame may not be anodized aluminum, but something similar. The surface texture was much more scratchy or rough…

This is a pic of some of the “pitting” that apparently has happened over the years to this frame…

Thanks guys

Hard-Water Restoration Service in Orange County, CA

May 12th, 2009

Here we are at the Corporate Office of Service Champions in Yorba Linda. They are the region’s leader in the HVAC industry. However, when they want they wanted their hard-water removed on their windows for the annual meeting with the “who’s who,” they called KC Power Clean.

Check out some of the pics of this successful hard-water restoration project.

Below is a picture of one set of windows that had silicate deposits built up from the irrigation system that kept hitting these windows.

These windows were neglected for over a year, but it wasn’t too late to be restored. Even though this hard-water looks really bad, it actually came off with ease with our restoration chemicals. But don’t try this yourself or you will end up injuring yourself by not utilizing the proper personal protection equipment, or you may end up damaging the glass. This is not a window cleaning job for the faint of heart!

Check out the after shot!

Matt’s look describes how he feels to have completed this job. It was good day in the sun!
The good people at Service Champions were very please to see this glass restored like new…

Pressure Washing with a Turbo Nozzle

May 12th, 2009

Turn down your volume for these videos because they are Loud! The pressure washing machine is running loud and pumping out some serious water on this backyard cement patio. This yard has not been professionally washed in 9 years, and it sure showed. But it wasn’t nothing that our turbo nozzle couldn’t take care of.

Below is a video of Matt doing the “heavy lifting” by cleaning the surface with a turbo nozzle. This nozzle rotates a couple thousand rotations per minute at very high force to wash away the dirt.

The advantages of the turbo nozzle is that it utilizes the direct pressure from a 0 degree nozzle but combines it with extremely fast rotational coverage. This allows a greater area of surface to be washed with more ease, while doing it better than a fan-spray nozzle could do.

When you hire a professional pressure washing contractor, ask them if they have a turbo nozzle that they utilize to clean your driveway and cement walkways.

But it is important that they also have a fan spray nozzle because the fan spray have much better rinsing capabilities. This leaves your yard with a clean feel because the puddled-up water will be rinsed away. Without this finishing touch, you would be left with a yard that is puddled with dirty water that is already beginning to build up the next layer of caked-on dirt.

Here is a video of Matt rinsing the yard with a fan-spray nozzle. Notice how direct pressure is not applied to the concrete because it is already cleaned with a rotational nozzle. He is just rinsing the surface clean.

Call Kris at 714-342-5326 if you have any pressure washing questions before your next service.

If you have a glass fence, you must know how hard it is to keep it clean. These fences take the abuse of a hot sun all day long, and it seems like a haven for bugs to die on. If you don’t want to spend all weekend scrubbing down those dirty bug markings on that fence, then give us a call at 714-342-5326.

In this particular video, my good friend Matt McQueen is featured as the comedian that he is as he describes our technique for efficiently removing these nasty bug marks on your beautiful “deck-glass.”

Besides, what’s the point of having a great view if the glass is going to be dirty. This particular backyard have about 120 linear feet of deck glass, and we suggested a very affordable maintenance schedule to our clients that they gladly accepted. Now they can enjoy their backyard view without being perturbed by the idea of having to always wash their fence.

Thanks for checking out our site, and we at KC Power Clean hope to hear from You!

Huntington Beach Window Cleaning Service

May 12th, 2009

Window cleaning is such a great job. We get to travel around and meet plenty of nice people and we get to do something that we take a lot of pride in, but we also get to spend an occasional day at the beach. It sure makes work a little easier to enjoy when you are looking out at the Pacific Ocean!

These windows were sure dirty though. The sand was caked on the glass, but it wasn’t nothing that a good-scrub couldn’t take care of. This particular home, like many others in Huntington Beach, was three-stories high, and featured extremely skinny walkways around the house. This is a window cleaners nightmare, but we enjoy a good challenge and were happy to tackle the job at hand.

Below is a video taken on the job of our beloved Matt McQueen with the beautiful Pacific Ocean in the background. Check out his squeegee skills.

Thanks for checking out our Blog. Please feel free to call us if you have suggestions or questions for us.

Skylight Cleaning in Orange County, CA

May 5th, 2009

Today, we had the opportunity to clean some windows in Corona Del Mar. It was a beautiful home, but there was only one problem. They had dirty windows and dirty skylights. This skylight had never been cleaned because the home has a very expensive slate roof. These roofs can not be walked on because slate is a very brittle stone that does not support much pressure or weight.

Therefore, we asked the friendly neighbors if we could use their roof to access the exterior skylight of their neighbor.

Here is a video filmed by my operations manager, Matt McQueen. “Starring” in this quick tutorial (which is filmed on my phone) is Kris Cook cleaning the exterior skylights with a water-fed-pole and pure-water. This process ensure that the glass will be scrubbed clean and dry spot-free due to the deionized water (aka pure-water).

Thanks for watching our video.

Be sure to call KC Power Clean for even the difficult tasks like your hard-to-reach windows and skylights. We always enjoy a new window washing task!

Window Cleaning and Power Washing Rig

May 1st, 2009

Please excuse our poor quality video. I’m about to invest into a real recorder.

The first video is of the “KC Power Mobile” which carries our basic window cleaning supplies. Stripwashers, squeegees, rubbers, chemicals, towels, etc. etc. etc.

The back seats were taken out a long time ago to make room for more stuff, but you know how quickly one finds a way to fill up that extra space.

That brought about the addition of our second trailer, which I call “The Black Knight”. Yeah it’s dumb, but I love this trailer.

It has our pure-water window cleaning stuff, di tanks, and pressure washing supplies and gear. It’s a 5′x8′ and worth every dime.

It’s my ambition to add a ladder rack to the trailer and to have a local welder fab me a better tailgate, a sweet trailer sign, and a system to hold two di tanks.

Thanks for watching.

Window Cleaning in Corona Del Mar, Ca

April 25th, 2009

Today we were contacted by Chad Rogers from Bravo Tv’s popular show, “Million Dollar Listings.” He said that he needed some window washers for a home that would be on his show. It is on the market for $9.5 million, which is understandable for this beautiful ocean-view home on Shell St in Corona Del Mar. Believe it or not, they were actually filming the show when we were cleaning the windows and these guys made a point of it to film us doing some work. Needless to say, we were pretty excited and were trying not to fumble over our words when the camera was on us. Chad and his “Million Dollar Crew” were a class act and we wish the best for them.

They told us that the episode is due to air in June or July of 2009, and it should be the 3rd or 4th episode of the new season. Obviously, we are now big fans of Bravo TV and look forward to getting some exposure on a national network.

Here is a video of Matt using a pure-water system with a water-fed-pole to clean a large staircase window that had large amounts of vegetation covering the window that restricted ladder use. It’s sure nice having the right tools for the job.

We clean awnings in Orange County and Los Angeles, CA

April 25th, 2009

Whether its for your home or business, if you have an awning, it will seemingly attract dirt 2x as fast as the siding that it’s attached too. But don’t despair, there is a solution for your awning cleaning problems. Whether it is a fabric awning like a canvas material, which is pictured below in the video that we took at a customer’s home in Irvine, or any other kind of awning. We have the right tools for the job. But don’t be fooled by any window cleaning and pressure washing so-called pro’s who have a pressure washer. Awnings are very delicate and are damaged by far-to-often by inexperienced pressure washing dudes.

This video shows us downstreaming an awning cleaning agent and protectant onto the canvas awning. The video shows just the second step of our 4 step awning washing procedure. We hope you enjoy!

House washing experts in Orange County, CA

April 25th, 2009

Hi there,

Here is a video of one of our house washing techniques. This method utilizes practically no pressure and a very gentle scrubbing action. This particular home had a siding similar to a plastic type siding so our softwashing methods kept the integrity of this home safe.

This particular home is owned by a nice lady named Jackie, who was shocked to see how clean her siding came. All it needed was a splash of our house washing detergents followed up by a gentle scrub and rinse.

Check it out!
