We recommend a premium gutter cleanout instead of a cheap service that does not provide a very thorough cleaning. If your gutter cleaning service provider doesn’t rinse out the gutters with a high volume of water, you may be getting a cheap service. Granted, there are some gutters that do not require a thorough rinsing, but a majority of the gutters that we come across need a thorough flushing.
We recommend a two step cleaning process for a thorough gutter clean. First, we gather a majority of the debris into gutter buckets with a scooper and bag or dispose of the debris in a neat and clean manner. When doing this, we start from the down spouts and work away from them as this ensures that we are not pushing large amounts of debris in to the drainage spouts which could compound any drainage problems. After this step is completed, we fire up a pressure washer with a medium- to low-pressure nozzle (but high water volume) and flush out the remaining debris that is in the interior of the gutters. This is an often underestimated step because this ensures that your cleaning will last for a longer period of time because no dirt is left behind.
